In the top compartment: On the right, Pharaoh’s daughter, wearing a crown of flowers, stands naked in the Nile with her two maidservants. On the left a third maiden is opening the basket in which the infant Moses is lying, while Miriam, sitting under a rock on the river bank, converses with her. Inscribed with Ex. 2:4-6. — In the lower compartment: on the right Pharaoh’s daughter, wearing a crown of flowers and followed by three maidens, is handing the infant Moses over to Jochebed and Miriam. On the left is a building with a red roof and a decorated gable. Inscribed with Ex. 2:9.
